Why Does She Keep Calling Herself That?

Things I stole from Emily:

Volcanoes be in Sicily
And South America
I judge from my Geography--
Volcanoes nearer here
A Lava step at any time
Am I inclined to climb--
A Crater I may contemplate
Vesuvius at Home

--Emily Dickinson

I promise, no more poetry. Starting tomorrow.
(Don't let the hyphens upset you. She's just giving you rhythm.
And she liked a funky beat.)

I dwell in Possibility--
A fairer House than Prose--
More numerous of Windows--
Superior--for Doors -

Of Chambers as the Cedars--
Impregnable of Eye--
And for an Everlasting Roof
The Gambrels of the Sky--

Of Visitors--the fairest--
For Occupation--This--
The spreading wide my narrow Hands
To gather Paradise--
